Today we're diving deep into a powerful practice that I found incredibly beneficial. The four R's. It's a dedicated period of introspection that I undertake twice a year to reset my mind, body and spirit.
What are the four Rs? The four Rs are one. Reflect. It's a deep dive into your past year, both personally and professionally. 2. Rest. It's a period of relaxation and rejuvenation.
3. Reset. It's a time to set new goals and intentions.
4. Rejuvenate a focus on physical and mental wellness let's jump into the first R Reflect A deep Dive Reflecting on the past year is crucial for growth. It allows us to learn from our mistakes, celebrate our successes, and identify areas for improvement.
During this phase, I encourage you to use journaling prompts to explore your experiences.
Your journaling prompts are what were the most significant moments of the year?
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
What were your biggest accomplishments, both personal and professional?
What were your biggest disappointments?
What lessons did you learn?
And finally, what are you grateful for?
Moving right into the second R Rest A time to Relax after reflecting on the past, it's essential to take time to rest and recharge.
This could involve activities like meditation, a cabin retreat, art therapy, unplugging, or simply spending time in nature.
Self Care Assessment Please answer the following how often do you prioritize self care activities?
How well do you manage stress and burnout?

Once you've rested, it's time to reset and set new goals for the upcoming year.
Goal setting.
Your questions are what are your top three goals for the upcoming year?
What specific actions will you take to achieve these goals?
What obstacles might you encounter and how will you overcome them?
The 4th R rejuvenate a focus on Wellness.
The final R is rejuvenation.
This involves taking care of your physical and mental health which is so very important these days.
So let's talk about your wellness plan.
Answer these questions. What specific steps will you take to improve your physical health in this upcoming year? It's a non negotiable for me.
How will you nourish your mind and spirit?
Lastly, what social activities will you prioritize?
By incorporating the four Rs into your life, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and create a more fulfilling future. Remember, self care is not selfish. It's essential for your overall well being.
